Introduction

“Quotes” is the module to manage quotes that are not created for any specific customers (known as anonymous quotes).

When clicking on the menu “Quotes”, all quotes will be displayed, as shown below.

Prerequisites

You need to have permission to Sell Quotes to access to this page.

Quote List

QUOTE LIST lists all the quotes that have been created in your tenant.

On Quote List, you can:

See the list of quotes that have been created. Each quote has these information:

  1. Reference: a unique ID to identify the quote. You can search for a quote by this number.

  2. Description: a short summary about the quote, usually insured object name.

  3. Product: product from that the quote is created from.

  4. Policy Term: insurance period.

  5. Premium: premium for the insurance period.

  6. Sales Person: user who sells this quote.

  7. Organization: the organization that the quote is created in. This is customer’s organization.

  8. Status: current status of the quote to indicate where the quotation progress is.

The Quote module makes it easy to create, manage, or discard customer and anonymous quotes while keeping track of their statuses at every step.

titleQuote statuses

Quote statuses help you track where a quote stands in the process. There are 3 statuses:

  • In Progress: The quote is being created or updated

  • Completed: The quote is finalized and ready to purchase

  • Waiting for payment: The customer has accepted the quote and payment is pending.

Seamless supports different quote types to handle various customer needs:

  • New Business: A fresh quote created for a new policy.

  • MTA (Mid-Term Adjustment): A quote created for changes to an active policy, such as coverage updates or premium adjustments.

  • Renewal: A quote generated to extend an existing policy.

You should have the following permissions: View quotes, Sell quotes

  1. Access Accounts menu → Accounts

  2. Open an account

  4. Select a product

    1. (Optional) Use the Sales Channel filter to narrow down product options.

  5. Fill out the Q&A form

  6. Clicks Next to review the quote

  7. On the Quote Review page, check the premium and coverage breakdown.

  8. Adjust options, such as:

    1. Previous Insurer: Upload a termination letter

    2. Discounts or Loadings: Update these to modify the premium.

    3. Payment Options: Affect how the premium is calculated.

  9. Adjust sales person to identify the commission recipient

    1. When sending quote document via email, you would need to select the recipient

  11. Click Accept to add the quote to the Quotes Ready for Purchase cart.

    1. Use: Back button: Return to the Q&A form.

    2. Back to Quotes List: Go back to the Quote List page.

  12. You can create additional quotes from the Other Products section without leaving the page.

  13. Clicks Purchase to purchase the quote

  14. Select Payment Option and click OK to accept.

  15. (Optional) The quote is moved to Waiting for Payment status for payment-first products.

  16. The quote is converted into a policy, the policy document is generated, and an email is sent to the appropriate recipient.

titleWhat to do with unwanted quotes?

You should have the following permissions: Discard quotes

You can use the image-20250121-123106.pngImage Added button on the Quote List to remove unwanted quotes.

  • For quotes in Waiting for Payment status, you cannot discard them if a payment is being processed through a billing provider or payment gateway.

On the Quote Acceptance screen:

  • Quotes are grouped under "Quotes Ready for Purchase" and "Other Available Quotes" sections.

  • Use the arrow-up/arrow-down buttons to move quotes between the sections.

  • Click the Purchase button, select your payment option, and confirm by clicking OK.

Note: Only quotes with the same currency can be purchased together.

titleWhat happens when my quote is expired?

Notice that your quote will expire after a predefined period (e.g., 30 days in the image above). After this period, your quote will be changed to Expired and cannot be purchased.
