Renew Policy

1. Introduction

Seamless offers you the flexibility to automatically renew a policy according to pre-defined configurations, renew it manually based on your specific requirements or choose not to renew the policy.

You can renew a policy that has the type Active only

a. Before you begin

  • You need the permission “Renew policy”

2. Renewal modes

The renewal mode is displayed in the policy details. You can change it by clicking on the Edit button

There are 3 options for you to choose:

  1. No Renewal: Seamless will not generate any renewal quotes for this policy, and you will not see the Renew button displayed.

  2. Manual Renewal Quote: Seamless will not generate any renewal quotes for this policy, and the Renew button is displayed. You can click on the Renew button to generate a renewal quote for your policy.

    1. Notice that the button will only be visible when reaching a set number of days before the policy end date (Automatic Renewal Period (Days)).

  3. Automatic Renewal Quote: Seamless will automatically generate a renewal quote for this policy a configurable number of days before the policy end date (Automatic Renewal Period (Days)).

a. Renew and purchase policy automatically

Seamless provides you with the ability to automatically purchase renewal quotes, ensuring that customers can continue their policies without being delayed by back-office processes.

  1. Automatic Renewal Purchase: Seamless will automatically generate and purchase renewal quotes before a configurable number of days from the policy expiry date (Automatic Renewal Purchase Period (Days)).

3. Renewal mode configuration

You can set a default renewal mode with 2 places

  1. At tenant level: Global settings on Products

  2. At product level: Advanced tab | RenewalMode

When a policy is created in Seamless, the default renewal mode will be taken from the product configuration. In cases where there is no product configuration available, Seamless will then derive the default renewal mode from the tenant configuration.
