The Quote module makes it easy to create, manage, or discard customer and anonymous quotes while keeping track of their statuses at every step.

 Quote statuses

Quote statuses help you track where a quote stands in the process. There are 3 statuses:

  • In Progress: The quote is being created or updated

  • Completed: The quote is finalized and ready to purchase

  • Waiting for payment: The customer has accepted the quote and payment is pending.

 Quote types

Seamless supports different quote types to handle various customer needs:

  • New Business: A fresh quote created for a new policy.

  • MTA (Mid-Term Adjustment): A quote created for changes to an active policy, such as coverage updates or premium adjustments.

  • Renewal: A quote generated to extend an existing policy.

Quote management

 Create & purchase a (customer) quote

You should have the following permissions: View quotes, Sell quotes

  1. Access Accounts menu → Accounts

  2. Open an account

  3. Clicks image-20250121-044528.png button

  4. Select a product

    1. (Optional) Use the Sales Channel filter to narrow down product options.

  5. Fill out the Q&A form

  6. Clicks Next to review the quote

  7. On the Quote Review page, check the premium and coverage breakdown.

  8. Adjust options, such as:

    1. Previous Insurer: Upload a termination letter

    2. Discounts or Loadings: Update these to modify the premium.

    3. Payment Options: Affect how the premium is calculated.

  9. Adjust sales person to identify the commission recipient

    1. When sending quote document via email, you would need to select the recipient

  11. Click Accept to add the quote to the Quotes Ready for Purchase cart.

    1. Use: Back button: Return to the Q&A form.

    2. Back to Quotes List: Go back to the Quote List page.

  12. You can create additional quotes from the Other Products section without leaving the page.

  13. Clicks Purchase to purchase the quote

  14. Select Payment Option and click OK to accept.

  15. (Optional) The quote is moved to Waiting for Payment status for payment-first products.

  16. The quote is converted into a policy, the policy document is generated, and an email is sent to the appropriate recipient.

    1. The quote is removed on the quote list

    2. Refer to Product Settings for policy recipient

 Create & purchase an anonymous quote

You should have the following permissions: View quotes, Sell quotes

  1. Access Insurance menu → Quotes

  3. Select a product

  4. Fill out the Q&A form

  5. Clicks Next to review the quote

  6. On the Quote Review page, check the premium and coverage breakdown.

 Manage quotes

Seamless supports Customer Quotes for specific accounts and Anonymous Quotes for quick estimates without customer details, offering flexibility for different needs.

From the quote list, you can:

  • View Details, Adjust or Purchase: Click the quote reference image-20250121-083801.png to access full details.

  • Create: Create a quote easily by clicking the image-20250121-084039.png button.

  • Discard: Remove unnecessary quotes with image-20250121-084202.png

  • Clone: Cloning new quote with image-20250121-084241.png

  • Generate Quotes Summary documents: Create, send, or download a summary document image-20250121-084316.png

 How to copy a quote?

In the Quote list, you can duplicate a quote by clicking the image-20250121-093809.png button.

 What to do with unwanted quotes?

 Change multiple quotes period per time

You should have the following permissions: View quotes, Sell quotes

  1. Access Accounts menu → Accounts

FAQ about quote

 What to do when a quote meet purchase constraint?

 Can other departments see my customers' quotes?

 What happens when my quote is expired?

Notice that your quote will expire after a predefined period (e.g., 30 days in the image above). After this period, your quote will be changed to Expired and cannot be purchased.

 Can I create a quote behalf another seller?

Yes you can, you can create a quote and assign the person as quote’s sales person

 I can't generate my quote document

If you can’t generate a quote document, check the following:

  1. Ensure the document template is set up for the product. Refer to Product Setup for details.

  2. If there’s an error in the template, contact our support team for assistance.

  • Product settings

  • No labels
