Create a Team

Prerequisite

You need to have permission “View teams” and “Create teams” to perform this action.

Create a Team

To create a new team, you can click on the below button in the Team List

This action will open the Create New Team form popup where you must fill in all mandatory information marked with an asterisk in the form.

  • Internal team: the team is made up of internal users.

  • External team: the team is made up of external users, but they need to have an user account in Seamless.

 

Add members (users) to a team

In order to add members (users) to a team, you need to go to the Team details by clicking on the name of the a given team in Team list, as the screenshot below.

The dropdown “Select user” is able to enter the keyword to perform user search by the user’s display name and it is case-insensitive. The list of users here comes from Users.

Once you already choose the user you would like to add, clicking on button “Add user” would officially add the selected user to the current team. If the action is done successfully, you will see the toast message below.

In addition, the newly added user will be displayed in the Team Members List.

If the selected user already exists in that team, you will receive the following message.

If the user is no longer belonged to that team, you can remove that user from the team by clicking on the trash icon in the column “Action”.

 

Comment

Currently, Seamless allows one user belongs to multiple teams. If your organization has a different usage or would like to restrict the rule, please contact Contemi Support team to tell us your scenario.
