Product Settings - Product Settings tab allows you to manage global settings on products in your tenant. It includes settings on the following items:

  1. Quote validity & discard

  2. Automatic renewal

  3. Policy automatic emails

  4. Quote/policy email recipient

  5. End date handling scheme

  6. Sales discount levels

  7. Policy summary

  8. Policy termination

In order to access product settings, users should have “Manage product settings” permission and go to the cogwheel on the right side, and choose the menu “Product settings”, then select the tab PRODUCT SETTINGS.

a. Quote validity & discard

Quote Validity (Days)

The number of days that quotes are valid from the created date.

  • After the quote validity period, if quotes are not purchased, they are set to state “Expired”.

Expired Quote Discard Period (Days)

The number of days that the expired quotes will be discarded automatically by the system.

b. Automatic renewal

Automatic Renewal Period (Days) must be greater than Automatic Renewal Purchase Period (Days).

  • If “Customer’s Email” is selected, the recipient is the customer to whom the quotes/policies belong.

    Define the cooling-off period

    • Upon terminating a policy with an effective date falling between one day after the Policy Start Date and the Policy Start Date plus the cooling-off period days, Seamless will determine the terminated premium by adding the prorated premium to the Termination Fee.

    • For instance:

      • Cooling off period is 15

      • The policy period is 01/01-31/12, Policy period premium = 12.000 USD

      • Predefined termination fee = 100 USD

    => When termination effective date is 13/01, termination fee will be 0

    => When termination effective date older than 16/01, termination fee will be 100 USD

    2. Sales discount levels

    These are tied to Sales Discount permissions each of which is for a level.

    For example:

    A user has “Sales discount level 2” permission, and the configured value for “level 2” is “30” as in the screenshot above. This user can only input a discount percentage up to 30% during quote acceptance.

    By clicking on the image-20240828-074739.pngImage Added button, you can configure the quote’s related entity. For now, you can define the relationships of entities in the quote module. You can view more about the entity module in Entities

    1. One quote can map with multiple entities with the same relationship, or different relationships (1)

    2. In each relationship, you need to define the name and the type of it. Currently, Seamless only supports the type “Intermediary” (2)

    3. In each relationship, you can define multiple related entities

    Shared lookup

        1. For instance, you have 4 entities in your tenant: Internal Introducer, External Introducer, Contemi broker, Contemi introducer

        2. The relationship between Internal Introducer, External Introducer and the quote module will be Intermediary

      2. You can also set up the default new business sales commission, and renewal sales commission of the entity (4)

      3. You can define the minimum and maximum records for per entity in a quote (5)

        1. For instance, when you set min: 0 and max: 2 then the user can select from 0 to 2 internal introducer in a quote

    8. Shared lookup
