Sales Channels
1. Introduction
In this guide, you will learn how to set up sales channels, products, and sales commissions for both renewal and new business. This feature will help you effectively manage sales incentives for your team based on their performance. Let's get started.
a. Before you begin
Before you set up a sales channel, make sure you have the following information and requirements ready:
Your permission on Seamless (“Manage Products”)
A clear understanding of the new sales channel, the products your sales channel will offer, and the commissions on the sales channel.
2. Set up a sales channel
Once logged in Seamless, navigate to the cogwheel menu → "Sales Channels" section.
Click on "Add Sales Channel".
Add sale channel details, such as reference, name, and any other relevant information. You can refer to the table below
Fields | Description |
---|---|
Reference | The reference or ID to the sales channel. This field is unique and cannot be duplicated. |
Name | Name of the sales channel. The channel name can be duplicated within a tenant. |
New business sales commission ( % ) | Default sales commission for new business quotes, only for % sales commission. When a new business quote is purchased via this sales channel, the default sales commission % will be applied. |
Renewal sales commission ( % ) | Default sales commission for renewal quotes, only for % sales commission. When a renewal quote is purchased via this sales channel, the default sales commission % will be applied. |
Organization | The organization that the sales channel is belonging to. You can select one organization to own the channel. |
Allow access to customers and sub-organizations | This checkbox is unchecked by default. When the checkbox is checked, the organization that you selected and its sub-organizations can have access to the channel. When the checkbox is unchecked, only the organization that you selected can have access to the channel. |
Available products | The list of products available for sale through the channel includes all items that have been published, activated, and are prepared for sales.

Buttons: Remove, Include, All, Back, Save | You can select one or several products and proceed to remove/include them. You can also remove/include All at once by clicking the “All” button. Clicking Back navigates you back to Sales Channel list. Click Save gets the inputs saved. |

QA: Is it possible to offer a product on Seamless without associating it with a sales channel?
No, it is not possible. Every product available for sale must be linked to a sales channel.
